LIS Lions Excel at SAISA 2025

Our student athletes proudly represented LIS at SAISA 2025, delivering an inspiring display of talent, determination, and school spirit. Competing against strong international opponents — including the American International School of Johannesburg, American International School of Cape Town, International School of Lusaka, Bishop Mackenzie International School, the American School of Kinshasa, and the American School of Antananarivo — the LIS Lions rose to the challenge with confidence and unity.

Throughout the tournament, the atmosphere was marked by high-level competition, teamwork, and exemplary sportsmanship. Our athletes brought energy to every game and race, supporting one another and embodying the values of resilience, respect, and commitment both on and off the court and pool deck.

The results reflected this dedication:

  • Volleyball:
Both the boys’ and girls’ varsity teams delivered exceptional performances, finishing 1st place in their respective tournaments — a remarkable achievement that highlights the strength and depth of LIS volleyball.
  • Swimming:
Our boys’ and girls’ swimming teams competed fiercely across multiple events, finishing 3rd overall and securing 3rd place combined — a strong result against tough regional competition.

Beyond the podium finishes, SAISA 2025 was a valuable experience for our student athletes, offering opportunities to grow, compete at a high level, and connect with peers from international schools across the region. Their conduct, effort, and passion throughout the tournament were a true reflection of the LIS spirit.

Congratulations to all our athletes, coaches, and supporters for an unforgettable tournament. Once a Lion, always a Lion.
