Medals and Team Effort at the Luanda Provincial Championship

Last weekend more than 20 swimmers from the LIS swim team competed Saturday and Sunday at the provincial championships at the Alvalade Pool in the city. 

Our swimmers won countless medals and earned top team award for 6-8 year old girls, 9-10 year old girls and 11-12 year old girls. This brings the swim season (14 weekends, international travel, daily training and loads of coaching hours) to a triumphant close. 

Particular thanks to the coaches, Ms. Zinha, Mr. João, Mr. Claudio, Ms. Rita and Mr. Sean, Mr. Ali and the administration for their unwavering support and to Mr. Romão and Mr. Antonio for all the work they do to build swimming at LIS. 

Many clubs approached us on the weekend and said LIS is the strongest team for 12-under swimmers in Angola and we proved that this weekend! I(Ryan) am so grateful to be part of such an amazing team of swimmers and coaches. 

Congratulations to our primary swimmers who attended: Lis, Audrey, Islay, Juliana, Florence, Rosie, Avery, Amelie, Raelyn, Effie, Maggie, Livia, Hashim, Tommaso, and Benedetta.

As well to our secondary swimmers: Riley, Clayton, Avery A., Tom , Salome, Mia D. and  Ammarah.
